ICFF Debut: Meadow Sconce

ICFF Debut: Meadow Sconce

I’m thrilled to announce my participation as a featured designer at Launch Pad at WANTED, a globally respected platform that spotlights emerging designers and groundbreaking prototypes in furniture, lighting, and home accessories. This international showcase is where manufacturers and design professionals discover the next wave of talent—and I’m honored to be a part of it.

This opportunity has allowed me to push the boundaries of my fiber arts practice and enter the world of lighting design with the debut of the Meadow Sconce—a hand-tufted light fixture that merges form, texture, and functionality.

At the heart of my work is a deep love of materials and a desire to create objects that invite touch and interaction. My process is profoundly tactile: I work across weaving, tufting, ceramics, embroidery, and printmaking, allowing each discipline to inform the next. The Meadow Sconce is a direct reflection of that process.

Lighting design often leans toward the rigid and purely functional. I wanted to challenge that by introducing softness, depth, and tactility into the design. The result? A sconce that is as much sculpture as it is lighting.

Each Meadow Sconce is:

  • Hand-tufted using 100% wool, a material that is renewable, sustainable, and naturally flame-resistant.
  • Unique, with slight variations in the tufted pattern, making every piece one-of-a-kind.
  • Thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly into modern interiors while offering a sensory connection to craft and material tradition.

This piece transforms a space not only through light, but through its presence—an invitation to engage and connect with an object in a more personal, physical way.

As I continue to explore the intersection of art and function, I hope this piece encourages others to reconsider the role of textiles and texture in everyday design.
